Devotional Jewellery, Pensieri Preziosi 17° Edition at the Oratorio of San Rocco Padova - Italy 26-11-2022 / 16-02-2023
The project proposed by Elena Alfonsi with artists from Europe, Japan, United States, Korea, South Africa and China.
The theme proposed for the competition was not intended as "religious devotion", but as a broad vision of the concept and meaning of "Loss" intended as a sudden, total and permanent loss of a beloved person, as shown for example, in the jewels of the so-called Mourning Jewelry production of the Victorian era, or of a loss that involves the vital system of our planet. The selection of authors was curated by Dr. Mirella Cisotto Nalon, former Head of the Cultural Activities Sector of the Municipality of Padua, by Dr. Elena Alfonsi scholar of History of Art Criticism, and Cultural Tanatologist.
