This bracelet is based on my Niki Bracelet-object design.

Prompted by a design contest, I created the Niki bracelet-object, inspired by the films of Niki de Saint Phalle. She was a French-American sculptor, painter, and filmmaker, recognised as one of the few female monumental artists.

As the sterling silver discoloured to yellow-brown over time, I was inspired to create a bronze version of the bracelet.

The colour of bronze speaks to me, and I love the patina that develops over time with wear. The discolourations some people get on their skin from wearing bronze jewellery are harmless.

This bracelet was 3D-printed in wax, then cast in bronze using the lost-wax method.

Each bracelet is finished by hand.
