This object is inspired by the works of Niki de Saint Phalle
(29 October 1930- 21 May 2002)

She was a French-American sculptor, painter, and filmmaker, recognized as one of the few prominent female monumental artists.

Niki is best known for her colorful figurines of women. She also confronted societal expectations and personal trauma resulting from abuse by her father.
When placed on its stand with a ball bearing, the bracelet functions as a zoetrope, referencing Niki's films. It changes both its function and appearance, transforming into a hilltop fortress.

A zoetrope is considered one of the first animation devices for viewing motion pictures. It consists of an upright cylinder with vertically arranged slots. When the cylinder is spun, viewers look through the slots and see the images, placed on the inside of the cylinder wall, appear to move.

The bracelet is also available in an undecorated version in bronze.

This bracelet was 3D-printed in wax, then cast in silver using the classic lost-wax method.

I hand-finished the bracelet.
