Inspired by the works of Josef Hoffmann (15 December 1870 - 7 May 1956)

He was an Austrian architect, designer, and co-founder of the Wiener Werkstätte.

I am drawn to Hoffmann’s use of square and rectangular patterns in his designs and architecture. In this square ring, the patterns and the contrast between the polished and the textured gold are the key elements. The skin you can see through several openings creates a sense of depth.

This ring is 3D-printed in wax, then cast in 14K gold using the classic lost-wax method.

The ring is hand-finished.
