It's never too late to start changing our habits
We increasingly recognise the impact our habits have on nature and the environment. However, we also have the power to make a difference by changing these habits. By utilising materials previously considered waste, I aim to create pieces with a minimal environmental impact. So, remember, it's never too late to protect what remains of our natural world.
The brooch is part of my Pebbles Are a Girl's Best Friend project. It's my investigation into the creative possibilities of a found concrete drill core. This core, once waste, is now a source of materials. The pigments from the debris and stones are used for jewellery and objects. The project is a facet of exploring sustainable practices that extend beyond the use of found and recycled materials.
